I’m running for re-election because I believe we must keep West Hartford moving forward. With your support, I’ll continue to provide strong, experienced leadership that reflects the values we share.

West Hartford is one of the best places to raise a family, work, and retire, and that’s no accident. Our Democratic leadership has worked hard to keep our town vibrant, welcoming, and forward-looking. But we still face real challenges: affordability, safe streets, education funding, climate change, and making sure every resident feels included. I’m committed to protecting the progress we’ve made while finding smart and practical solutions for the future.

Fiscal Responsibility

I believe a fair and equitable budget should serve everyone in our community, from working families to seniors and small businesses. That means protecting funding for our public schools, making sure families have access to high-quality services, while being fiscally responsible. Connecticut’s tax system places too much of the burden on towns, leaving us almost entirely dependent on property taxes while the state sits on a growing surplus. As your Town Councilor, I will advocate for reforms that allow towns to keep a fair share of the revenue we generate, like a portion of the sales tax. I also support a transparent, community-driven budget process where residents can share their priorities and concerns.

Public Safety

Keeping West Hartford safe means ensuring our police and fire departments have the funding, staffing, and resources needed to respond quickly and effectively. I will work to provide the support they need to protect our neighborhoods, respond to emergencies, and keep every resident safe, while also promoting community trust and collaboration.

Education

West Hartford has a reputation for high-quality schools that consistently rank among the best in Connecticut and the United States. I am committed to fighting for full Education Cost Sharing Grant so West Hartford gets the support it is entitled to, keeping our schools strong for every student.

Safe Streets
I’m committed to making West Hartford’s streets, sidewalks, and trails safer for all residents—walkers, bikers, and drivers. By continuing Vision Zero, we can reduce accidents, prevent injuries, and create a community where everyone can move safely and confidently.

Affordable Housing

West Hartford has led the way in creating affordable housing, and we must continue that work. I will champion quality, affordable housing for all residents, including apartments, townhomes, and senior-friendly options, so that everyone can live, work, and thrive here.

 

Sustainability

I will advocate for sustainable practices, including expanded food scrap diversion, renewable energy initiatives, and climate preparedness, ensuring West Hartford’s natural resources are preserved for future generations.

Standing Up for West Hartford

While some choose to ignore the chaos caused by the current administration, I recognize how national decisions directly impact our lives here in West Hartford. What happens in D.C. matters, and we need local leaders who are paying attention and speaking out.
