About Tiffani

Tiffani McGinnis was born in Nashville, Tennessee and grew up in a small suburb of Nashville. She is a proud product of public schools and, thanks to Pell Grants, student loans, and scholarships, was the first in her family to graduate from college. She earned a degree in Health Care Administration and Planning from Tennessee State University, graduating cum laude while working and becoming a mom during college.
After graduation, Tiffani worked in the healthcare industry and launched her own small online business. She and her husband, Matthew, have three adult children. Their youngest is currently a senior at UConn, having previously attended King Philip Middle School and graduated from Northwest Catholic High School.
For over 20 years, Tiffani has been volunteering and working to elect Democrats across the country. Even as a child, she knew that Democrats were the party “of the people and for the people.” That work has included serving as Vice Chair of the West Hartford Democratic Town Committee, campaign manager for State Senator Derek Slap and former Town Council member Leon Davidoff, and treasurer for the reelection campaign of Lieutenant Governor Susan Bysiewicz. She also founded New England Women for Harris and GenX for Harris and was a full-time volunteer for the Harris campaign in 2024.
From Nashville, Tennessee, to Chapel Hill, North Carolina, to her chosen home of West Hartford, Connecticut, one thing has never changed for Tiffani: her belief that government should lift people up and expand opportunity for everyone. She has a proven record of getting things done on the Town Council, expanding affordable housing, improving public safety, and protecting the environment. Tiffani is committed to practical, compassionate leadership that delivers real results and keeps West Hartford moving forward.
